The ad platform counts its own impressions

The platform that sells impressions is the one counting them. Our first e-commerce clients trusted the ad platform’s statistics too, until they saw their first AdMetr report. Now they see what is really happening with their ads.

Behavioral analysis, not just blocklists

Dozens of ML models catch not only known schemes from lists but also new anomalies in traffic behavior.

Fraud and fake actions

Bots and automated traffic

Non-human sessions that look like regular impressions in the stats.

Fraud and fake actions

Fake clicks and conversions

Artificial actions: clicks go up, but real buyers do not.

Fraud and fake actions

Click-injection

Hijacking the click source to claim someone else’s conversion.

Spoofing and masking

Domain spoofing

An impression on a dubious site is passed off as one on a premium site.

Spoofing and masking

Ghost sites

Sites with no live audience that exist to sell impressions.

Spoofing and masking

Frequency and fingerprint anomalies

Unusual patterns that show there is no person behind the impressions.

Placement quality

Impressions outside the target audience

Geo and targeting off the brief: you see how many impressions went to the wrong place.

Placement quality

Non-viewable impressions

Off-screen ads that were counted but never seen.

Placement quality

Custom analysis

Analysis tailored to a specific campaign when standard breakdowns are not enough.

The models learn from behavior, so they also find what is not yet on any blocklist.

Our own end-to-end stack, no third-party “black boxes”

We work with any platform that accepts a third-party pixel or code.

We earn from nothing but measurement

No inventory of our own, no DSP and no traffic sales, so no conflict of interest.

  • We don’t serve ads or sell traffic. We have no inventory or DSP of our own.

  • We don’t measure what we earn from. That is why you can trust our numbers when talking to the platform.

  • We don’t hide data “on request”. Everything we measure is in your dashboard, in any breakdown.

  • We don’t promise budget refunds. We give you data you can rely on in talks with the platform.

  • We don’t disclose client data. No names, no numbers, no campaigns.

Ad verification glossary

A short guide to the terms you see in traffic quality reports.

Ad verification
Independent confirmation that paid impressions actually happened and could be seen by real people in the right places: no bots, no spoofed sites and no off-screen impressions.
GIVTGeneral Invalid Traffic
Simple invalid traffic: known bots, crawlers, service requests and data center traffic. It is filtered out with lists and rules.
SIVTSophisticated Invalid Traffic
Complex invalid traffic that disguises itself as real: emulated human behavior, domain spoofing, fake clicks. It takes behavioral analysis to catch.
Viewability
The share of impressions that could actually be seen. Under the MRC standard, a display ad counts as viewable if at least half of its area was on screen for at least 1 continuous second, a video ad for at least 2 seconds.
Domain spoofing
An impression on a cheap or dubious site is passed off as an impression on the premium site the advertiser pays for.
Click-injection
Source hijacking: a malicious app injects a click a moment before an install to claim someone else’s conversion.
Ghost site
A site with no live audience that exists to sell ad impressions, which are “viewed” by bots.
Post-view conversionView-through conversion
A conversion after an ad view without a click: the person saw the ad and bought later, arriving by another path.
VTR and quartilesView-Through Rate
VTR: the share of video impressions watched to the end. Quartiles: the shares watched to 25, 50, 75 and 100% of the video.

Frequently asked questions

Didn’t find an answer? Ask in your request, and we’ll answer at the demo.

Ask a question

How is AdMetr different from ad platform statistics?

The ad platform counts the impressions it sells itself. AdMetr only measures: we don’t serve ads or sell traffic, and we have no inventory or DSP of our own, so we have no interest in inflating the numbers. Every impression gets a class, CLEAN, SIVT or GIVT, and the report shows how many impressions are real, how many were seen by a person and where the fraud is.

Do I need to pause my campaign to connect?

No. The pixel goes on a live campaign without pausing delivery and without changes to the creative. Impression classification starts with the first events, in real time.

Which environments and platforms does AdMetr work with?

Web, in-app and Smart TV. We work with any platform that accepts a third-party pixel or code. You can start with a pixel on a live campaign. For viewability, video events and click fraud protection, the creative is wrapped in a JS wrapper, and creatives can be hosted on our CDN.

What does the pilot include?

The pilot runs on your data: we connect the pixel to your campaign without pausing delivery, and in the dashboard you see the same report as in regular work: impression classes, viewability, fraud by domain and placement, all Report Builder filters. The pilot is included in the price and is not sold separately. We’ll quote the price after your request or after the demo.

Who builds the report, and can I export the data?

You build the report yourself in Report Builder: period, groupings, metrics and filters on one page. Breakdowns go from campaign down to domain, placement and player size. The report exports to CSV. All data is in your dashboard, not “on request”.

How does AdMetr detect fraud?

With behavioral analysis and dozens of ML models, not just blocklists. The models learn from traffic behavior, so they also find what is not yet on any blocklist: bots and automated traffic, fake clicks and conversions, click-injection, domain spoofing, ghost sites, frequency and fingerprint anomalies.

What metrics does AdMetr measure?

Impressions, clicks, CTR, fraud share split into SIVT and GIVT, MRC viewability, video completions (VTR) and quartiles, unique viewers, average frequency, conversions and post-view conversions, attribution lag.

Will you refund budget lost to fraud?

We don’t promise budget refunds: that is up to the platform. We give you data you can rely on when talking to it: fraud share, a list of problem domains, non-viewable impressions.

How much does AdMetr cost?

The price depends on the campaign and the integration level. We’ll quote it after your request or after the demo.
